How far in advance should I order my SIM card?
For physical SIM cards, we recommend ordering at least 7-10 business days before your departure date to ensure timely delivery. We ship from our Canadian fulfillment centers via Canada Post.
For eSIMs, you can order anytime — even at the airport before boarding — as delivery is instant via email. However, we still recommend ordering a few days in advance to ensure you have time to set it up properly.
Can I get my SIM card delivered to my hotel in Europe?
Yes, we offer hotel delivery service in major European cities. During checkout, select "Hotel Delivery" and provide your accommodation details and check-in date. We'll ensure your SIM card is waiting for you upon arrival.
There is an additional $5 fee for this service. Alternatively, consider our eSIM option for instant delivery with no shipping required.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my order?
You can cancel or modify your order within 24 hours of purchase with no cancellation fee. Simply contact our customer service team with your order number.
For cancellations after 24 hours but before shipping, a 15% processing fee applies. Once a physical SIM has been shipped or an eSIM has been activated, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If your travel plans change, you can postpone activation of your SIM for up to 12 months from the purchase date at no additional cost.

How do I activate my Fone4EU SIM card?
Physical SIM cards come pre-activated and ready to use upon arrival in Europe. Simply insert the SIM card into your phone when you land, and it will connect automatically to the local network.
For eSIMs, you'll receive an email with a QR code and detailed setup instructions. You'll need to scan this QR code with your phone and follow the prompts to download the eSIM profile. We recommend doing this while still connected to Wi-Fi in Canada, though the eSIM won't become active until you arrive in Europe.
Do I need to configure any settings after inserting the SIM?
In most cases, no. Our SIM cards are designed to connect automatically to the appropriate networks with optimal settings. All you need to do is ensure data roaming is enabled in your phone settings.
For some Android devices, you might need to manually set the APN (Access Point Name). Detailed instructions are included with your SIM card and available on our website.
Will I get a European phone number with my SIM?

How do I know if my phone supports eSIM?
Most newer smartphones support eSIM technology. This includes iPhone XS/XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and many recent models from other manufacturers.

Can I use an eSIM alongside my regular physical SIM?
Yes, most eSIM-compatible phones support Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS), allowing you to use both your regular physical SIM and our eSIM simultaneously. This means you can keep your Canadian number active for incoming calls and texts while using our eSIM for data in Europe.
What happens if I delete my eSIM profile by accident?
Don't worry! If you accidentally delete your eSIM profile, you can reinstall it using the original QR code we sent you. We recommend saving this QR code in a secure location or taking a screenshot of it.
If you can't find your original QR code, contact our support team, and we'll help you restore your eSIM profile.
